Mariaan has significant teaching experience in Computer Applications Technology (CAT) since the subject was phased in in 2008, during which she achieved a 100% matric pass rate every year.
Furthermore, her extensive background includes teaching CAT to blind and vision impaired students. This highlights her commitment to inclusive education and the ability to adapt her teaching methods to meet the unique needs of all students.

Mariaan van der Linde
After years of teaching Computer Applications Technology at mainstream schools and a school for the blind and vision impaired, Mariaan decided to start her own tutoring centre in 2022. It is her passion to train people in a ‘bread-and-butter’ skill. Through training students in this skill, she empowered many to pass the tertiary institutions’ compulsory pre-study computer examination with flying colours. This important proficiency enables her students to step into any job with confidence.
Mariaan has been invited to speak at various forums, locally, nationally, and internationally, on the challenges and benefits of teaching CAT to impaired individuals and its practical application in the real world. She is a strong advocate for empowering people of all abilities to succeed through the skills she imparts.
